For more than 150 years, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) has delivered world-class care to children and families across Victoria and beyond.
As a globally recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, research and education, RCH is Victoria’s primary specialist children’s hospital. The hospital provides highly specialised care not only to local patients, but also to children from across Australia and internationally.
The Good Friday Appeal is one of Victoria’s most iconic and trusted charitable initiatives, and remains the hospital’s largest annual fundraising campaign.
Since 1931, the Appeal has raised over $517 million thanks to the remarkable generosity of individuals, families and organisations across the community. This vital support enables RCH to invest in advanced medical equipment, breakthrough research, and innovative models of care that place children and families at the centre of everything the hospital does. Funding also supports workforce development through leadership programs, education, scholarships and fellowships—ensuring excellence in care now and into the future.
A key contributor to the Good Friday Appeal is the annual charity auction, proudly supported by Henley and Villawood Properties, demonstrating the powerful impact of community and industry partnerships.
We are proud to support the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal by contributing land and partnering with Henley Homes on the annual Charity House Auction. Together, this longstanding initiative has raised more than $13 million over the past 17 years.
Each build is made possible through the generosity and collaboration of a committed network of tradespeople, suppliers and volunteers, who contribute their expertise, materials and time to bring these homes to life.
Auction day marks the culmination of this collective effort, transforming the street into a vibrant community event. With a lively carnival atmosphere, it draws crowds and creates a memorable celebration of community spirit and shared purpose.
